A peek BTS into what it takes to responsibly design and develop a lingerie set for brand launch.

There’s a million steps between sketching out an idea and bringing it to life. And this carousel gives a look into this process. It’s everything from sourcing trips to the EU and UK (because as much as we’d love to source in the US, these materials don’t exist here), preliminary material testing, meeting with manufactures and making factory samples, and fit wear testing (to make sure out designs and materials translate into wearable pieces you’ll love for a long time). This is just some of the process.

Creating lingerie is complex, and doing so with intention behind materials safe for your body and the planet takes a little more time. But we think making pieces you’ll want to reach for first is totally worth it.

When I first envisioned Petal + Ash it was to bring beautiful lingerie to market, made from materials and dyes safe for your body and the planet. But I couldn’t bear the thought of making products, no matter how much ‘better,’ that would be destined for a landfill one day.

Even if no one else sees it you feel it. And that affects how you move through the world. I’m taking about lingerie, and that’s the power of wearing something beautiful underneath. It doesn’t need to be for anyone else. It’s entirely yours.

I built Petal + Ash for the woman who understands this.
