It’s hard to think about, and even harder to imagine, that this snapshot is my only photograph of the Twin Towers.

Forever in our thoughts are the victims, first responders, and everyone affected by the events of 9/11.

Up until that day, I remember the city feeling untouchable. “If I can make it there, I’ll make it anywhere” truly was how New York felt, and everyone I came across during that time seemed to carry that mindset.

During the difficult days that followed, the one thing that stood out was how the city and its people had each other’s backs. Friends and total strangers alike, there was a commitment to helping each other, protecting each other, and loving one another in a way I had never witnessed before.

Unity in its purest form. A sincere love for the city of New York, its people, and beyond.

Twenty-five years have gone by. The skyline has changed. The city has changed. New Yorkers have changed.

For those who remember those days, let’s not forget that sense of unity. And for those who learned about those tragic events from afar, know that love and unity are what got us through those difficult times.

And they always will.

New York City, we love you.

Arguably the greatest photoshoot of all time, preceded by the best ever performance by the USMNT in a World Cup, in the Summer of 2002 these photos were taken at a park in Cary, North Carolina.

Featuring stars of the tournament, Landon Donovan, Brian McBride, DaMarcus Beasley, Clint Mathis, Cobi Jones, & Pablo Mastroeni, the question is posed: do the USMNT stars of today take themselves too seriously to be captured this way? Will any photoshoot ever top this one?
