KidSuper is an idea that came from the desire to dream and rediscover the wonderment of being a kid. KidSuper came from those childhood memories of when you ran around in your underwear with a homemade cape, convinced that you had superpowers and nothing and no one could tell you otherwise. KidSuper works to recapture this magic, and to re-explore the KID in all of us that is screaming for adventure, creativity, and sheer enjoyment.

The painted dress file this season. Initially inspired by the wings of parrots to represent Brazil. We tried to think of different ways to portray that. Feathers was too obvious and we didn’t have a lot of feathers haha. Then we wanted paint but needed the paint to hold its texture and thickness. Jack Herzog tired a bunch of different paint options and we made it all happen. A pretty amazing look from trial and error.

KidSuper’s SS27 Fashion show was inspired by the World Cup and the 48 nations that qualified. Each look featured design inspiration from each country from either the national colors, artists, landscape, and more. Each look was modeled by a person from that respective country. This was such a fun project because not only did I get to research history of the different countries but I got to work with and meet different people from all of these countries. At the end of the show we all danced to the one true universal language: Sean Paul.

I think it is a fun game to try to find what were the specific inspirations by country.
What was your favorite look? Which country did we do amazing, which did we mess up? Haha
I love soccer and miss the World Cup.
