Clients favorite armchair in process of reconstruction for recovery. Using a 'self-healing' fabric called "Hercules" for the reupholstering which withstands claws from pets and cuts from sharp objects (by people who clearly shouldn't have sharp objects in their hands while sitting in a chair)....just saying.....but that's what its advertised as. Just waiting on delivery tomorrow of some tacking strips and button covers I ran out of! A shout out to Amazon who's saving a scatterbrain a trip into Manhattan tomorrow.

Cuddles and Dillon hanging out on renovated duvet cover on bed. This cover was constructed previously of antique Indian wedding fabrics in a quilt pattern that I painstakingly took apart stitch by stitch and replaced with this tapestry, velvet border and patches of Indian wedding fabrics and reconstructed. No project is to big/small/challenging! Bring it on! As well the custom canopy cover was designed and constructed by me.

Over dyeing a large white Karastan rug that I steam cleaned a number of times and just couldn’t get white again. Thought of tea staining but decided to have a forest floor instead. Used giant pot of boiling dye which I filled a paint sprayer attached to a compressor jar by jar. First photo is just dye setting unrinsed, 2nd is after first rinse next day, 3rd after third hose down third day. Almost completely dry but have some storms coming so now Mother Nature will add her touches with sun and rain. Excited to see the results in next few days!

I don't get to do much jewelry the past few years due to working full time on Sandy Recovery and now running a new startup but here's my friend and co-worker Liz who had wanted a necklace incorporating this spent bullet casing. I STILL don't know the story but she assured me there are no x-boyfriends buried in her backyard....Fun to be back in the studio!

Prices at this event will be wholesale minus 10% so if you're in NYC come to the party. Food, wine, networking and the ability to purchase the line for below wholesale prices! Every piece is made to order by the artist so at this event orders will be taken for delivery within 2 weeks. Unedited photo from the shoot yesterday with the beautiful Annie Devlin. Last 24 hours included decadence, astounding food, peaceful sleeping in the country, exercise (TWO back to back classes; Spinning {which I'd never before done} and a yoga/fusion - many months since last yoga....[somebody's VERY sore....already....], and such incredible weather! Life is full of blessings!
