I hope and pray that Sandy and Luna are always safe, sound, and thriving, just like Sunny and Gizmo.

I miss them all.

And through every changing season, one name will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Jackie will never be forgotten.

Rest in peace, Jackie. Your memory remains like a quiet light that time cannot take away. 🙏

SOME NAMES DON’T JUST STAY IN OUR MEMORIES, THEY LIVE IN OUR HEARTS.

I am so sorry for the loss of regal Dexter.

Dexter was also the name of my beloved warrior Scottie, so this special name hits home a little harder for me.

My heart goes out to everyone at Wild Heart Ranch who gave their hearts and souls trying to save this beautiful and majestic creature.

You gave Dexter something more precious than time.

You gave him love, compassion, and a chance to fight.

And for a warrior, perhaps there is no greater gift.

Sometimes the strongest hearts are not measured by how long a life lasts, but by how deeply that life was loved while it was here.

Dexter may have left this world, but the love surrounding him does not simply disappear.

It remains with the people who cared for him.

It remains in the hearts of those who followed his journey.

And for me, his name will always carry the memory of another beloved warrior too.

To everyone who fought for Dexter, cared for him, and gave him love when he needed it most, thank you.

May Dexter’s spirit know that he was never alone.

Sending healing energy and heartfelt love to everyone who fought beside this winged warrior. 🙏🏻❤️

LOVE NEVER LEAVES. SOMETIMES, IT JUST LEARNS TO FLY DIFFERENTLY.

Somehow, I believe Shadow knew Jackie was ill and wasn’t coming back. Eagles often form long term pair bonds, and that thought makes this story feel even more bittersweet.

I’ll always believe Kaydee was sent in some beautiful way.

Maybe that’s just my heart talking, but when I listen to this, I keep coming back to the same feeling: love never really leaves. 🦅❤️

Jackie’s spirit will always fly over Big Bear Lake, the place they all can forever call home.

And those young eagles often seen around these trees and the nest? I still wonder if some could be Gizmo, Sunny, Luna, or Sandy.

Maybe I’m wrong. Maybe I’m right.

Honestly, I’d still say I’m 50% right and 50% wrong.

SOMETIMES, THE SADDEST STORIES STILL FIND A COMFORTABLE ENDING.

Even if Kaydee was sent by Jackie to somehow cushion Shadow’s loss, I could care either way. What matters is that Kaydee has been good for Shadow.

But I remember seeing the girls around earlier this year, and I can’t help but imagine they wondered where their mom was too.

It was such a sad situation, but somehow, there was a little comfort waiting at the end. 🦅❤️

And Shadow…

It felt like he was calling for Jackie, night after night, flying from host tree to host tree, just in case she might somehow hear him.

Maybe that’s only how it looked to us.

But sometimes, nature leaves us with moments that feel bigger than words.

Jackie may be gone from the nest, but the love and memories she left behind still seem to linger over Big Bear.
