The Little Shop Antiques and Gardens/ R.S Goines maker of fine Furniture Antique sales, plant sales in spring, custom folkart, custom furniture (all styles) hardwood lumber sales. We opened Hardwood Lumber sales in late Sept, 2009.

We opened in 1986 on the family farm with the antique shop, my Mom has her shop open beside me (Baltimore House antiques opened in 1964). Randy started building custom furniture in 1990 and hasn't stopped since.

I can identify with this cat painting ($55). He looks a bit overwhelmed. In his case it's the pumpkin he's holding, in my case it's this place with all the rain August is a "hairy" time of year with crabgrass, ragweed and other assorted ugly weeds. They love to show off this month but it's generally dry. I hope to catch up this coming week with them but for today the cat and I are just going to have to deal with it and be thankful we didn't get any flood or storm damage. I'll be in the shop pretty much ignoring the outside and working on more Halloween items. If you need a break from your home or garden feel free to stop in. Hours are 11 to 5.

Good morning! First off I do have to close at 4 today ( August 15). The shop got restocked with some great items this week. This little barrel ( sold pending) is a rugged cutie! It looks good with dried flowers in it but has a lot of different uses. I open up at 11 today if you want to stop in 😁

As some of you know I love to use something antique that would normally be cast off in a new way. Yes, up cycle, redo, repurpose or whatever internet buzz word is going around. This poor tattered doily is now a sweet little ghost. I'm working on a whole haunting of worn out linens. They aren't hard and it's satisfying to create something from "nothing"

I'm not sure what you are looking for but the shop has a lot of old interesting things along with our unique handmade Halloween and fall decorations. Hours today are normal 11 to 5, however I do have to close at 4 tomorrow (Saturday). Sunday is back to 11 to 5. Hope you are faring okay with all the rain. We have been fortunate here but I can't help but think of the areas that have been devastated in Indiana. Take care and if in the area I hope to see you 😀

I have so much to do that I've spent the last 1/2 hour just wandering around. I don't need the nervous wreck book (yet) but who knows. I got a bunch of great old books in plus some that aren't collectible but good to paint on. I'm grateful the property is just wet with no damage. The grass is just going to have to be long for a bit until we dry out. I'll post a few more pics today as I proceed. Have a great day
