If you've been to the shop in person, you've probably seen this quilt. It was made by my great-grandmother Gladys, who traveled as a young girl in a covered wagon to Illinois. Many of her works were done from scraps of cloth that she had after making dresses for her family, and all of her quilts were hand pieced and stitched. I was lucky enough to have her in my life until I was 19, passing away at 104. I hope to have even a pinky's worth of her skill for sewing, cooking, and love for her family that she had.
