In 2009, owner Erin Smith packed her bags and boarded a plane as part of a humanitarian aid mission to the kingdom of Swaziland, located just north of South Africa. Seeing how even the smallest acts of human kindness can create a connection and make a positive change, Erin returned to her hometown of Bryson City, N.C. with a mission to channel her longtime love of fashion and entrepreneurial spirit into a different kind of business - a business built on kindness. The way she saw it, the clothes in our suitcases, the jewelry in our jewelry boxes - even the jewelry boxes themselves - could all do something more, for more than just ourselves.
