Peter Cornett Designs and Interiors Peter Cornett Designs and Interiors creates unique spaces and custom furnishings. Wood is the medium in which I work. I did not choose it, it chose me.

Most of my life I have lived in or around the forest of West Virginia, creating a symbiotic relationship between myself and the material with which I create. I first imagine the piece, usually organic in form, with flowing lines and sculpted joints. Throughout the process I am reminded that wood is alive, constantly moving, so great care is taken in the construction to allow for this. Over the yea

rs I have never altered a design for profit or time. Extensive, traditional joinery is visible throughout my work. I design and build furniture because I have been blessed with the ability to do so, although life has taken me away from this path many times. Designing a building furniture is truly the essence of who I am. Elegant form, structural integrity, and functionality are the trademarks of my work and my life.
