GAINESVILLE, Ga. (April 11, 2025) – Say goodbye to seasonal depression and hello to lakeside concessions.
Lake Lanier Olympic Park (LLOP) unwraps its 2025 event season with the start of the long-awaited Food Truck Friday series, known to satisfy every craving and then some, from 5-9 p.m. April 18 on the shore of Lake Sidney Lanier.
“Food Truck Fridays are rockin’ all summer long!” said LLOP Special Events Manager Morgan Wingler. “On the third Friday of every month in the spring and summer, come enjoy the sunset from LLOP’s Northeast Georgia Health System Plaza with friends and neighbors. Food Truck Fridays include live music, food trucks, beer and wine tents, and retail vendors. Plus, entry to the plaza and concert is free and open to the public!”
The five-course 2025 Food Truck Friday series, sponsored by the City of Gainesville, Georgia, continues May 16, June 20, July 18 and Aug. 15, featuring different musical performances each month, in addition to a generous lineup of food and beverage trucks to choose from.
Americana duet band Whiskey Magnolia and singer-songwriter Ivan Duke will take the stage from 5-6:15 p.m. and 6:30-8:45 p.m., respectively. AccessWDUN’s Bill Maine will emcee the night’s feastivities.

A fee of $45 secures your party an 8-foot table, which includes four seat cushions (for you to keep) and two end chairs, giving you ample space to stuff your face. Park away from the hustle and bustle at New Horizons Lanier Park, located at 675 White Sulphur Road, and shuttle to and from the event between 4:45 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. Only service animals are permitted on the private shuttles. Arriving by boat? A courtesy dock features limited spaces – approximately 15 total.
