IT'S FOR SALE!!! The title of this GIANT quilted hanging fiber art piece is "Gender Identity is a Patchwork". It is almost 5 feet long! It took me many WEEKS to cut all the individual triangles and then sew them together (see my process photos). It isn't perfect, but neither are people. It would make a fabulous statement piece displayed inside a LGBTQ+ home or business.

New robot art hat!!! Available for purchase at the Burlington Farmers Market on Saturday. My hats are 100% handmade (by me) in Vermont.
No, I don’t use any “apps” to make my art. I literally take a piece of paper and a pencil and an eraser and I sketch. This was inspired by a number of vintage robot toys from the 1950s and then I put my own spin on it making it completely unique. Then I ink over my final sketch and transfer it to a silk screen. Myself. In my basement. I print on fabric (much of which I rescued from companies who were going to throw it away) and then I sew the hat. Most of my hats take about two hours to make, but they really range anywhere from 1.5 hours to three hours. So when your teenage son fools around and stretches out my baby hat, or you allow your child to carelessly throw my hats on the ground and then step on them, I take it personally because it IS personal. You are devaluing my work and myself as a person and I’m sick of smiling as people hurt me just to be “nice”. So respect artists! Cause without us, life would be boring!

Giving some love to the Burlington Farmers’ Market! If you haven’t been in a while, come check it out! They have almost 100 vendors that sell everything from traditional veggies, meats, maple syrup, and cheese to fine art, authentic tie dye tee shirts, ceramics, and artisan crafts. The ready to eat food is so good for breakfast or lunch and they have everything: breakfast sandwiches, burgers (from locally produced beef), tamales, pot sticker dumplings, napalese food, samosas, baked goods, ice cream, and even a gluten free bakery!
It’s every Saturday (rain or shine) from 9am-2pm and goes thru October 31. In the South End on Pine Street (free and paid parking nearby- look at their website).

Yay! I was able to make TWO hats today!!! Since I hurt my back sitting has been a little painful. Now I can sit for an hour before needing a break (or lay down). So far I made TWO hats today (with breaks in between)! And now I am sore!
