With so many new faces here lately, I thought this would be the perfect time to share a little more about my story.

A while back, Two Wild Souls Photography LLC featured me in her SHE E.O. (She Empowers Others) series blog. It was such an honor to share my journey—one filled with faith, healing, resilience, and learning to truly know my worth.

As I read it again today, it feels especially meaningful because I'm just 3 days away from hosting my very first women's retreat, BE HER. 🥂 It feels like another chapter in the journey God has been writing all along.

If you're new here, welcome. Thank you for being part of this community. My hope is that through my story, the Wear Your Worth movement, and everything I share, you'll be reminded that your worth isn't something you have to earn—it's something you were created with.

Your kindness is like no other. Your imagination is one of my favorite things about you, and I hope you never lose it. The way you care for others and love so deeply is truly inspiring.

You are the best big sister, cousin, daughter, grandprincess and niece anyone could ask for. Thank you for making me a Nana—it's one of the greatest blessings of my life.

Just a moment of gratitude on this Sunday. ❤️

As I took time to pray and let my Father guide me this week, He showed up in ways I honestly didn't think were possible anymore.

This week has been filled with some of the hardest, most labor-intensive projects around our home. But this season hits differently.

Because before, it was, "Shots, shots, shots..." 🎶

Now it's, "Lord, go before me and guide me." 🙏

We took what was once a beautiful koi pond and transformed it into a memorial for boyfriend's dad, John, who passed away from Stage 4 lung cancer in 2020.

(But thats only because we cooked thousands of dollars in fish🤷‍♀️)

I don't know who loved that pond more—him or me. (I'D SAY ME 🤣😂) But thats because he would let me win. It had been sitting untouched for three years because I dreaded the work. My back pain made it feel impossible.

But God.

He gave me the strength, the endurance, and the healing to push through and finish what I thought I couldn't.

I'm beyond proud of myself—not just because the project is complete, but because I did it sober, with a clear mind and a grateful heart.

I don't have a photo of the 3 foot tall weeds that over took yhis space just a week ago🤷‍♀️

The things God can do when we surrender our plans and trust His are nothing short of amazing.

Not everyone who goes silent is cold.

Not everyone who pulls away is being dramatic.

Sometimes, silence is what trauma sounds like.

When every time you spoke up you were ignored...
When your feelings were minimized...
When telling the truth only brought more pain...
You learn that being quiet feels safer than having a voice.

So you stop explaining.
You stop asking.
You stop expecting to be heard.

The people who say the least are often carrying the most.

Before you judge someone's silence, remember this:
Some people aren't silent because they have nothing to say.
They're silent because life taught them no one was listening.

Be the person who creates safety.
The person who listens without interrupting.
The person who makes someone feel seen, heard, and valued.

Sometimes that's where healing begins. 🤍

BE HER.
Confidence isn't pretending the past never happened.

It's choosing to believe that your past no longer gets to write your future.

So many of us spend years trying to rewrite chapters we can't change, carrying shame that was never ours to keep, or allowing past wounds to determine our worth.
But God...

He's still writing your story.

You don't have to steal the pen anymore.
Next weekend at BE HER, we're laying down the baggage, breaking free from the lies we've believed, and stepping into the woman God has been calling us to be all along.

Your story isn't over. Your past isn't your identity. Your confidence begins when you trust the Author.❤️
