The sale at Heritage Hall continues through the rest of the week.  Abbie is running the Sale there for us because the Ginkgo is closed due to water problems. All of the  funds from the sale will go directly into the Foundation fund to renovate Kellerman Lorimier Hall.
We have had a really successful week so far, and hope that all our friends will visit us this week in a larger “selling” space and a larger quantity of merchandise.

These interesting pieces were done by Kandi Meecham who moved to Arkansas to an artist’s colony. She then began working and doing art as “Redstar”. We have lost track of her, so I don’t know where she is now. We sold her things in my gallery. Her artwork, mostly watercolors, was fabulous. These guys she made are called “Modern Relics”.
We’ve had them since the 1980s. If anyone has information about where she is now we would love for you to share it. She also did a series of things called Christmas spiders that we enjoyed.
There’s a large number of these pieces left in our inventory. If you’re interested, come check them out. They’re worth coming just to see. She was so very talented. Going through all of this merchandise reminds me of all the artists that we’ve dealt with through the 50 year period, and it makes me wish we had kept in touch better. Many of these things were purchased in the pre- cell phone era.
It’s hard to believe we could live without the capability of reaching out to thousands of people on a whim, wanting to show them something. I’m so glad I live this long!!!!
