Happy Heavenly 110th Birthday to my Meemaw! She was an amazing artist and always drew this profile of a woman’s face for us kids in about 60 seconds: one single line for the face profile, shaped the eyes with intricate lashes and brows, filled in the perfect pout, added a nose and nostrils, and finished her off with wild curly hair… and if we were lucky, she got fancy pearls too! Last, she’d always sign her autograph - which now lives on my arm! I was lucky enough to have , owner of memorialize this nostalgic memory of mine so beautifully forever on my arm, always in my view to admire and remember how talented my Meemaw was. The crew said she would have made a great tattoo artist (and I agree)!! She was also an amazing painter, some of which you can see if you scroll through the pics. I included some of the attempts my siblings and I took at trying to mimick her drawing/process… we just never quite got it right! 🤣 My Meemaw was a one of a kind lady, loved herself a nice cold beer, knew how to make every one of us feel so special and loved, and I there isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think about her or miss her.
