I've been out of my office between my boys' sports activities and camp that I haven't been able to offer anything new. It's always just catching up on orders when I am home. 💌

However, my goal this weekend is to list something new every day to keep the website new. 🤩 (There are some inventory errors I'm trying to resolve- so I apologize ahead of time if you run into one).

While I wait for my Naptime Knots shed to arrive (delayed 🥲) I'm going to do the tasks I can do without the shed like putting together my work table. 🤩 I'm using 2 industrial tables together to create the surface I need for my adult blankets. These things are HEAVY and nice! 👏

My next in person event will be September 5th in Fort Fairfield at the 7th Annual Blackstone Farm Fall Craft Festival.

My goal is the have my shed in place (not 100% done) for this event to show you all my new home for Naptime Knots. 🤩

Beautiful weekend to celebrate America 🇺🇸 ❤️

May everyone has a safe and enjoyable weekend with family and friends. 🎆

All current orders are finished. Any orders placed this weekend will be started next week. I still have so much fabric that needs to be tackled however I am running out of room. My shed isn't coming when I anticipated which is discouraging since my mind has been in a moving state. 🫣😅 I feel like I've had a lot of special requests so if that's you feel free to message me again. I've ordered a lot of fabric and sometimes get so busy I forget to follow up. I need you to keep me straight. 😉

Shed will come...sometime and everything will come together as it always does though. I have faith. 🫶

Hi 👋

I haven't done an introduction in awhile and just wanted to show you the face behind Naptime Knots. 🥰

I'm Casey Blackstone, 32, mom of 4 BOYS. Yep. All boys and I couldn't imagine myself any other kind of mom. They're ages 8, 6, 4 and 1.5. "You must be busy?!" Oh you bet 🫣🤣 If you are a mom of a boy, you already know they are perpetual motion...all day long.

I was a pageant girl from 2001 - 2014. Deep into pageantry I gained friendships, poise, communication skills, and a boat load of confidence. 👑

I married my high school sweetheart- coming up on 10 years this August. ❤️

My husband, Ben, is a potato farmer. 🥔🚜 He farms with his dad and brother. I'm a stay at home mom so I deepy appreciate all the hard work that goes into farming. When I was pregnant with my son 9 year ago we made the choice I would be a stay at home mom to raise our family.

Naptime Knots became something when my oldest son was almost 1. I feel like any SAHM with a newborn finds a hobbies to keep her busy during naptimes. The "sleep when they sleep" is for the birds. I mean I should've listened when I just had one child but now I'm long gone. 🤪

I made Beckett a "baby name hat" in 2017 for his newborn photos with Zi Photography in Ellsworth. I drove 3 hours...one way 1 week postpartum for newborn photos...and my mom and I day tripped it. 🫣 SO worth it.

I didn't start making hats and thinking of a business until October of 2018 when I started my page.

Fast forward 8 years and Naptime Knots has become something I am so incredibly proud of. I do find myself telling people, " I have a little sewing business" in which my husband will remind me it's much bigger.

YOU.

I have the most incredible customers a small business could ask for. I'm not running this business to make the Fortune500 😜🤣 but we are doing something here.

A sewing business that allows me to be present with my 4 boys means everything to me.

In the next few weeks I'm going to be moving Naptime Knots out of our house into a shed I bought. It's not here yet but as soon as it is I'll be sure to show you all the photos. I cannot wait.🫶

I boxed up SO many adult minky blankets this morning that I've been working on over the past month which is great timing because I just receieved another pallet of minky today. 😛

They're so silky any packaging I've tried doesnt truly stay. I tied trying them different and so far so good. 👍 And I changed my label for these. Big enough for all the needed information but small enough to reduce packaging because we all know it goes directly in the garbage.

Having all these boxes and rolls of fabric in my house is making me EXTRA excited for my shed to arrive...soon!! 🤗

(These are not on the website yet- I may be keeping them until the Blackstone Farm Fall Craft Festival September 5th 9AM-3PM in Fort Fairfield but I haven't fully decided yet. Main focus was just getting them all sewn since it's just me 😁)

I bought a shed. 🤭🤩

Naptime Knots has officially outgrown our house. I currently take up our 3rd floor of our home and now the space downstairs by our staircase. I am everywhere. 🫣

My husband first mentioned it to me (maybe joking, maybe not?) But that thought planted an idea. Renting a space is not doable for me. I'm a stay at home mom to 4 boys so I need something on our property in Fort Fairfield. 🏡

My father in law told me to go big because you'll wish you went bigger once it gets here. I think I'll still find myself saying that. 🤪

It's going to be a busy summer once the shed arrives to get her all ready to move into. The best part? Naptime Knots items will be in the front of the shed like a mini storefront. 😍 I will not be operating it like a traditional store 10AM-5PM but I will be offering certain shop periods during a month which I'll post prior. I'm excited to have a home for all my makes for people to browse not just on the website. (Creative Carpentry Of Maine in Caribou has some loveys a long with Lisa-Marie’s | Connecting you with 100s of Maine’s finest Makers in Portland .)

Here is a photo of my first purchase for the building. A nice entry mat that will get dirty on the 1st highly trafficked day. I'll rethink the light pink but I was excited, ok? 😅) And a little mood board. I'm excited to let you all in on my journey- it's half the fun! 🤗

The new fabric I order for hat/swaddle sets came in last night - eeeek!! I'm trying to cut fast. These fabrics are printed ribbed and are going to be GREAT- florals, blueberries, camping, Winne the Pooh 😍

I have some lovey blankets I want to get sew before I cut into this fabric but SOON! School is out for the summer. We are going to find our new rhythm. It just might take some time. But new things are coming. 🥰

The first 48 hours after you have a baby 👶 becomes a blur. There are so many emotions, new obstacles to overcome (especially as a first time mom), and exhaustion.

In the moment, don't forget to take all the photos (and videos 🥹) of your new baby. 🤍They change in a BLINK.

I love when moms share photos with me of their sets on the new babe. It becomes full circle - the name is now a little human. 😍
