So excited to launch this initiative for our community!

🍎 Teachers change lives every day. It’s time we gave something back.

As both a substitute teacher and photographer, I’ve had the privilege of seeing firsthand the heart, dedication, and sacrifice teachers pour into their classrooms every single day. Volunteering my photography services for local schools and community organizations inspired me to create something that gives back in a meaningful way.

Today, I’m excited to introduce Classrooms With Purpose—a new community initiative from Likeable Likeness Photography.

Here’s how it works:

❤️ $75 from every participating portrait session is already built into the session fee and donated directly to a participating classroom chosen by the family.

There is no additional cost to the family. They simply book their portrait session, choose a participating classroom to support, and Likeable Likeness Photography takes care of the rest.

Teachers can receive meaningful support for their classrooms without selling products, organizing fundraisers, or feeling like they have to ask for donations.

I’m looking for our first 25 Founding Classrooms to help launch this initiative.

Founding Classrooms will receive:

🍎 A Featured Classroom page on our website, sharing your classroom’s story and goals.
🍎 A discounted family portrait session as our way of saying thank you.
🍎 The opportunity to receive a $75 donation each time a participating family chooses to support your classroom.
🍎 Opportunities to be highlighted throughout the school year as we celebrate the incredible work happening in our local schools.

Where it all began. 💛

Five years ago, I had an idea.

As a multiple myeloma survivor, I wanted a cancer shirt people would actually want to wear—not just once, but again and again. Something fun, nostalgic, and conversation-starting that celebrated living.

My incredibly talented friend, Christine Beck took that vision and brought it to life.

One of my favorite parts? Five years later, I still have friends who wear this shirt regularly. That tells me we accomplished exactly what we set out to do.

Looking back, I realize this shirt became so much more than a design. It planted the seed for what would eventually become Kara & Tara Creative Co.—a mission to create products with purpose that give back to patients, survivors, families, and nonprofits.

It’s amazing how one idea, and one friend willing to believe in it, can change the course of your life.

Thank you, Christine, for believing in me and helping turn one idea into something so much bigger than either of us could have imagined. 💛
