The steel for the pattern welded.....damascus....billet arrived. Now to find the time to forge weld it up.

The steel for my nephew Austin's hunting knife, The Ramos Hunter, has been ordered. I will start work on it around Christmas. The design is completely his. The blade will be a core of 1095 clad in a forge welded damascus (pattern welded) of 1095 and 15N20. The handle material he chose will be a G10 of orange and black. Knife and sheath combo will run about $300 for this exact combination (Choice of color or wood on handle). I can also do the knife in just a high carbon steel and basic sheath for about $150. ($10 of each one sold goes to Austin for his design, and I will donate an additional $10 for each one to a charity for Autism to be named later after some research and consultation)

I will be back up and running with the first of the year. More knives, tomshawks, sheathed, and lots of other projects. The first two out of the box are the Tanto and the Ramos Hunter. (Austin, you hear that? You'll will soon have it in your hands. Any changes let me know). For the rest of you, his design will be available for order. (He makes money off of it, its his design). Of course custom work is available as always.

Well it looks like I have a couple of wands available. One is sort of an eggplant or plum shade of purple with a rose quarts tip and a crystal set in the pomel. The other is a dark almost midnight blue with some purple tinting, a lapis lazuli point (has some nice small golden pyrite inclusions) and is finished with a metal pommel. I may have an interested party for one or the other, but I'm not sure of a sale. The first person to pony up 4 Hamiltons gets their choice.
