Opened up the awnings today for the first time this year, and interrupted a little tenant.

Tucked underneath was a tiny bird’s nest, and before we even realized it, one brave (or very confused) baby bird tumbled out. For a moment, he seemed determined to start his life early… scrambling up my arm like it was Mount Everest.

We moved fast, grabbed gloves, handled him as carefully as possible, and gently placed him right back where he belonged. Safe, warm, and back home.

All of this on one of those perfect spring days, the sun out, a light breeze, and birds chirping like nothing ever happened.

Sometimes you show up expecting a normal day… and end up playing a small part in someone else’s. 🐦
