August 1 marked one year since I walked into the front door, turned on the open sign and answered the phone with "Branded Blooms, this is Shayla" for the first time. One year since I posted this exact picture on my first day of business. It's gone so fast!

In one short year there has been a lot of cheer, lessons, adventures, early mornings and late nights to provide the best for wonderful customers.

First, I owe many thanks to Adam for encouraging me to take this leap of faith, to follow my dreams of being a florist & business owner. For managing his busy seasons with mine, having warm meals on the table at midnight, and being the best dad to our tot during weeks that I'm here more than I am at home.

Second thank you is to my mom. From processing flowers, planting the greenhouse and cleaning, to covering the store when I'm gone to be a mom, to play, or whatever the occasion may be. She's been here since day 1 and I couldn't have this shop open every day without her.

Thanks to DeeDee, Tom, Becky and Suanne for answering when I call. From helping with store coverage, designing during holidays, helping with delivery, picking my daughter up from daycare, or celebrating big wins. You're greatly appreciated for all you do.

My last thank you goes to the people of our community, our customers near and far. Thank you for trusting me with taking care of your birthday, anniversary, sympathy and wedding floral needs. From calls, texts, and online orders, shared posts and walking through our door, I appreciate you all so much!

I am excited for what's to come for the boutique, fresh florals & greenhouse!
