I’m selling my last two quilts featuring the “Courtside with Caitlin” limited edition Iowa Hawkeye fabric. This fabric has sold out and will not be available ever again. So this is your only chance!

Each of these quilts are 46”x 59” and are the perfect throw size. The back has soft black plush fleece for comfort. I’m selling these for $150 each.

A very special (and big) t-shirt quilt for my nephew, Kaden Schwandt. In my 20 years of making t-shirt quilts, this is the first one to have all four years of football playoff t-shirts! Kaden also went to my alma mater, Northeast Hamilton. He is now going to farm our family farm where I grew up!

This quilt was made for a client in Texas. When her mother passed, we used coordinating colors of her mother’s (cotton knit) shirts to create this beautiful memorial quilt. What a wonderful keepsake for this family, and a great addition to their home.

Hesitant to give up your tshirts? We have an opportunity for you!

This year I am donating THREE quilts to the New Hope Biennial Quilt Auction on April 13th at the Carrollton Inn in Carroll, IA. The quilt auction raises money for New Hope, an organization in Carroll that provides residential and vocational services for individuals with disabilities.

So not only would you get a beautiful quilt and keep your shirts, you also are making a difference in our community. How cool is that?

Due to their popularity at previous auctions, I decided to make three school themed quilts: Carroll Kuemper, Carroll Public, and University of Northern Iowa!

Now the Christmas season is over, it is time to start thinking about t-shirt quilts for graduation!

This is an example of using several different fabrics in the tipped design. You will notice not all of the dark/light fabrics around the blocks are the same.
“Class of 2022” was also added to the bottom of this quilt, which is something that can be added even if it you don’t have it on a shirt.

Brynna (middle daughter) here to brag a little bit. Not a lot of quilts are made during June - August..why? Well, because the quiltmaker is traveling all over the state judging quilts of 4-H members! This past weekend she was given a prestigious award for her volunteerism and the impact she's made on MANY Iowa 4-H youth. This couple met at ISU and collected their favorite Greek t—shirts for years. They were looking for a way to keep them other than in a box. It was only natural to add ISU fabric on the border.

With the graduation of their youngest son, this family decided they wanted to give their dad a quilt for Father’s Day. This father was a coach for mock trial, a 4-H leader, and a baseball coach for his sons for many years. It was very important with the mock trial shirts that the team roster from the back side of the shirts would be kept together.

I get asked a lot, how many shirts do I need for a quilt? This quilt had 30 blocks but not 30 shirts! As you can see, different shirts were pieced together and others I used the front and back of some to make two blocks! This quilt finished as a queen size. So number of shirts needed for a quilt varies.

If you see on the bottom row there is a dress shirt and tie from this young man’s first music concert! I always strive to be able to personalize these quilts in any way that is meaningful to the recipient.

I want to share with you the two quilts I have donated to New Hope Village in Carroll, for their 14th Biennial Quilt Auction which will be held this Saturday, April 9th.

New Hope is an organization that offers both residential and vocational services to adults with disabilities. This is a wonderful organization that I am blessed to support, using my God-given skills.
