It is with a heavy heart I announce that Derby is closing our doors at the end of May. The local recession has hit our tiny store very hard and it is not sustainable to stay open at the current rate. This was the hardest decision I have ever had to make, and one I did not make lightly. I am so incredibly proud of this shop, how it has grown and the friends it has made while our doors have been open. I am eternally grateful to the community of Casper for supporting my funky little shop and understanding my vision and my dream. I believe we brought a smile to our customer’s faces rather it was with cat leggings, Bigfoot Christmas ornaments or Johnny Cash baby onsies.
I do have to ask one final favor of our fiercely loyal customers: please buy a little something before we close at the end of May. Mike and I (owners) have debt we need to try to pay down before Derby closes and it is too big for us to try to pay out of our own pockets. Any little bit helps. We will be doing a big sale starting next week where our inventory will be marked down and we are also selling our fixtures, our POS System and furniture. Stop in and say goodbye to Casper’s most original boutique.
