The basketball goal had been delivered.
The concrete footer had already been poured.
But the goal could not be installed.😢
When this homeowner booked Helping Hands Household Solutions to complete her 72-inch Dominator installation, the photo required by our online booking form immediately raised a red flag.🚩
Another company had poured the existing footer—but the unopened Dominator crate was still sitting beside it.🤔
Inside that crate was the anchor plate that should have been centered, leveled, and embedded directly into the concrete.📦
The Helping Hands team identified the problem from the booking photo before we ever arrived. 📸Once the homeowner understood what had happened, she entrusted us to rescue the project and complete it correctly.
That required more than making a small adjustment.
The existing footer had to be jackhammered apart and completely removed. 👷During demolition, our team confirmed that there was no reinforcing rebar inside the concrete.
We cleared the debris, excavated a new hole to the depth and footprint required for the Dominator system, installed reinforcing rebar, and poured a new foundation.🏀
This time, the anchor plate was positioned inside the concrete exactly where the manufacturer required it.✅
After the footer cured, CJ and Jaysen assembled and installed the post, support arm, 72-inch backboard, rim, and remaining hardware. Now the homeowner has the completed basketball goal she originally expected.
✨But this project reveals something every homeowner should know:
The quality of an in-ground basketball goal installation is determined largely by work you will never see again.✨
Once the concrete is poured and the goal is standing, you cannot see the depth of the footer. You cannot see the reinforcing rebar. You cannot see whether someone followed every required specification. 👉You are trusting the installer with all of it.
And that foundation must support a heavy basketball system while children play around it and Arizona wind pushes against a 72-inch backboard.⛹️
An installation is not a bargain if it has to be demolished, paid for, and completed twice.⚠️
Before choosing an installer, do not ask only, “What do you charge?”⁉️
👉Be sure you also ASK:
✅“Are you insured? "
✅"What do your Google reviews say? "
✅"Can you show me your portfolio of basketball goals you have installed in the Valley?”
🤩Helping Hands Household Solutions will tell you: 🤩
YES we are fully-insured for your protection.
YES, we have 4.9 Stars on Google with over 200 reviews.
YES our portfolio is here: https://photos.app.goo.gl/rEDJHA1pVajUyQmm6
