I may not have mentioned before that I was privileged to volunteer at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, the same year West Des Moines' Shawn Johnson took home gold. Considering this Iowa-shaped U.S. flag design, what other U.S. Olympians from Iowa come to mind??

May be open to partnering with somebody for this opportunity. Definitely not looking to have somebody just sit there at a kiosk all day. But instead, somebody who is excited about our brand and mission, and naturally wants to connect with others, while also understanding social boundaries, ha.  This partner would not be a traditional, part-time employee, but instead somebody who would ride the roller coaster of highs and lows with us economically. No financial investment, just investment of your time and passion, which is rewarded economically when the company is rewarded. Such a meaningful text message to receive from my friend Meredith recently:

"I ran into a friend of mine at the library today. Her daughter (pictured here) has a very serious heart condition and just had her third open heart surgery. She is doing well for the moment but will need a few more. Her mom was wearing Iowa love and I was too so it was cute! Here's a picture :)"

The mother is Meghan Menzel and she shares on her social media, "Did you know Althea has donor tissue in her heart?

She has a donor tissue conduit connecting her lower right ventricle to her left and right pulmonary arteries. Her life continues to thrive because of the life-saving gift of donation.

💙April is National Donate Life Month - a time to honor donors and recognize the incredible impact of organ and tissue donation.💚
