I'm overwhelmed by the kind words, messages, and effortless generosity from this community that has already been shown towards our newest family member.
I cannot thank you all enough.

I have to give a huge shout-out to the amazing ladies at The Skin Lounge Spa for making an adorable gift bag for both of the girls. They were so excited to open their goodies. You knew exactly what they liked, everything was perfect! Thank you, thank you! You definitely made this mom cry.

Just a note: I'm doing my best to respond to everyone and trying to see every message, but please remember my phone service is still glitching.

I'm working on getting an Amazon school wishlist created for our new kiddo per several of your request.

Hi everyone.
Just wanted to give a quick life update.
Sorry it's long, I promise it's worth the read.

First, T-Mobile has made it very hard for me to communicate with customers due to constant outages.
At times I can't see messages, respond, answer calls, or call people.
They're trying to fix it, but each time they think they have it fixed, it goes right back to doing it.
So that's just been fun.

I can't lie though, things have been very stressful lately.
I've been sick, depressed, stressed and my anxiety is through the roof.

I'm trying to navigate through the emotions of moving my child 3 1/2hrs away to college while dealing with one of the slowest sales month since the shop has been open.

Admittedly, my heart hasn't been in it lately.
There's a lot on my plate.

I recently added to it by taking in a wonderful 14yr old girl.
She's my daughter's friend.
She's in the system, has nothing but a backpack of clothes and was in jeopardy of going into an emergency shelter.
I couldn't let that happen.
If you know me and my family, we just aren't the kind of people to sit back and let a child fall through the cracks or get left behind.
She already holds a special place in our hearts.
So now I have two teenage girls and holy s**t are they expensive.
Also, why do they need so much bathroom products? Like, sooooo many bathroom products. IT'S EVERYWHERE.

I'm not going anywhere anytime soon, but things in the shop need to go. I need room to bring new things in.
I need to sell things. That is the name of the game, after all.
I'm marking things down big time.

Come get some deals and come support my small business.
I could really use it right now.

This shop is badass.

The goal was to bring something different, unique and weird to Cedar Rapids.
When I first opened, I didn't know how receptive everyone would be to it.
Little did I know this is exactly what this town has been wanting.

I've had some pretty weird and morbid s**t in the shop and you all have eaten it up.

You just can't beat the vibe in here.
It's unlike any other and that's what I was going for.
We aren't everyone's cup of tea, and that's ok too.
The people who get it, get it.

There's a reason people travel so far to come see this place.
We truly have the best dead people's stuff.
