Get with your Pilates this Thursday at . Our very own Lynette is opening her studio to all of you Thursday runners and will lead warmups and cooldowns using Pilates techniques. Our ON rep will also join us with demo shoes for you to take out on your run. We’ll warm up at 6 PM, take off around 6:15, and cool down with refreshments and stretches whenever you return. Let’s get it ON!!!

Feed Iowa First is holding a run/walk fundraiser at Mt. Trashmore tomorrow night, August 1st, and we thought it would be an excellent opportunity to crash it—or, shall we say, trash it.
Rather than meeting at the NewBo City Market, we’ll meet at Mt. Trashmore, take some trips up and down, and support a wonderful organization.
The suggested registration fee is $25 per individual or $50 per family. We understand that not everyone can afford the standard admission fee, so feel free to pay what you can.
Hoka will also join in on the action and offer shoes to demo for your run/walk. It should be a blast!

Join us for an exciting evening at Mount Trashmore on August 1st from 6-9 pm, as we lace up for a walk/run fundraiser supporting Feed Iowa First, a local nonprofit dedicated to increasing food access by growing vegetables for under-resourced communities and supporting emerging farmers. This family-friendly event will be filled with live music, food trucks, and chances to win fantastic prizes. Every step you take will help raise vital funds to help feed members of our community in need, making a direct impact where it is needed most.
See how many times you can climb the mountain! Come hike it once or a dozen times. A prize will be awarded to the person who makes the most climbs during the event. If you are participating in the Mount Trashmore Challenge you can count these climbs toward your total.
Not up for walking or running? Pull up a chair and enjoy the live music from the band Ducharme-Jones. A large-wheel stroller-friendly gravel route is available and babies and kids are welcome!
Meet us at the top of the Mount at 8:30pm where we will announce prizes and watch the sunset over Cedar Rapids together.
Don’t miss out on this opportunity to make a difference while enjoying a memorable summer evening outdoors!

Seven years ago today, our doors opened, and we sold our first shoe, a Pureflow, which became extinct a year later. Fortunately, we did not become a Pureflow, and you have kept us moving forward year after year. Thank you, Cedar Rapids, for these past seven years, and here’s to another seven!

As we look back and reflect on 2023, a year for change and renewal, our cups are overflowing with love and gratitude, and we can't wait to share another beautiful and exciting year with you all. From saying goodbye to our beloved shop dog, Buddy, to undergoing a complete shop transformation to competing and coming in 2nd place at the Main Street Iowa Open For Business Grant, it's been quite the year for us here.
So, as we wrap things up, we would like to express our most sincere appreciation to all of you who have supported us in some way. Whether you are a regular, a first-timer, or a champion of the store, we see you. In a world where everything is accessible with the touch of a phone or the click of a mouse, we are honored and humbled by your efforts to shop with us. Having the opportunity to serve this community every day is a privilege, and we never take the trust you place in us and our staff for granted.

Come spread some holiday cheer with our pitch-imperfect crew a week from tonight (Thursday, Dec 14th) and hit the streets as we surprise a few of our favorite small businesses with festive melodies. Our Jingle Carol Run coincides with the 3rd annual HO HO HO in NewBo, a holiday shopping spectacle, so bring the whole family down for a fun-filled evening.
We'll leave the shop a little after 6 PM with multiple stops throughout the 2ish mile route. The faster you run to each stop, the longer you wait—no runner/singer left behind. We hope you can join us.

Run specialty is just built differently. There's nothing quite like it in the retail industry. We certainly came back inspired and motivated to continue being the best we know how to be with this community at the center of it all. Of course, we also did our best to keep Austin weird.

When launched these Breaking Silence sunglasses, we saw an opportunity for a charitable double dip. Run Club Message: We have decided to dial it back a bit for the time being and get back to the basics and postpone Run Club until further notice. We had some fun, but we can be patient and wait a little longer and not contribute to the strain our healthcare system and workers feel right now.
