Some things happen for a reason! Remember those pants I ripped the first time I wore them? Here is my $4 fix! Took some creativity and a lot of back and forth sewing, but I love the custom, boutique look!

These pants! I wonder if they came with a "bad luck charm" attached when I bought them a few weeks ago. Let me explain...I wanted to wear them the 1st time for our 4th of July celebration. Light, brushed blue linen pants with red shirt. Very patriotic, right? But...I was walking into my house to grab my water before leaving for the event and caught my leg on the smallest rough corner of metal as I was rounding a stair corner. Yep...ripped my pants!! As to not let a rip ruin my desire to wear them, I grabbed a needle and thread and stitched it up on my way to the event. Aren't "tattered" pants in style?
Then the 2nd time I wanted to wear them was to go have coffee with a friend. Cute, comfy pants with a blush top. Just a fun, casual outfit. Well....as I was about to leave, I caught my foot on something outside and fell!! Yep...grass stain resulted. I did change them this time.
So....what did I do? I turned to AI and get ideas for saving my pants. Instead of whining, I decided to look at opportunity! Being a seamstress, I knew I could get creative (with a little help from chat Gpt) and fix them up. Check back for the "new" one-of-a-kind pants in a few days. My fixing material is on its way!

Yes it would have been cheaper and quicker to buy curtains, but I had a "designer look" in mind and I accomplished it! There is more pride in homemade projects versus store bought when you want something just right!
