In downtown Champaign, a portion of Main Street between Walnut Street and Chestnut Street carries the name Honorary Chris Decker Drive. The designation recognizes a man who is remembered by community members for quietly keeping Champaign safe for more than two decades.

Chris Decker died April 1, 2025. The honorary street designation was granted later that year.
