With so many new followers recently, it seemed time that you should meet the Spring Chicken behind the booth!
Hi, I’m Paula, the owner and curator of Spring Chicken Vintage. ❤️
I thought it was time to introduce myself, the person behind all those vintage finds. I have been doing this for 7 years now, but I have always loved decorating my own home with vintage pieces and helping others seemed like a natural thing to do.
I truly love the hunt. I love going to estate sales, vintage markets, shops (especially with friends!) and, several times a year, making trips to Florida in search of treasures to bring home. Then comes my favorite part: setting up those finds into a curated display for you.
One of the things I love most about having my booths is the people I get to meet. I especially enjoy the days when I happen to be working in one of my booths and get to visit with customers, hear what they’re looking for, and sometimes help them find that special piece for their home.
When you find something in my booth that you love enough to take home, that is an honor for me. Whether it’s a piece of ironstone, a unique primitive, a brass candlestick, a basket, a piece of wall art or even just a little figurine, I love knowing that it is making its way to your home.
I never take that for granted.
Most of these pieces have already had a life and a story. And when you take one home, it becomes part of your story—and part of the story of your home.
That means so much to me.
The name Spring Chicken Vintage is inspired by my mom who is a lifelong crafter, decorative painter and who always decorated beautifully. My sister had told her that she was “no spring chicken any more” and let’s just say that didn’t sit too well with her. 😂 She will always be a Spring Chicken! And I like the play on the idea of these vintage items that are still in style and still “spring chickens”. And it makes people smile! 😊
So, thank you for shopping with me, encouraging my little vintage adventure, and giving my discoveries (that you then discover) a place in your homes. I’m so grateful. 🐔❤️
Happy hunting,
Paula
