So excited about this little lady! I put a shelf up in my classroom under my alphabet line and, each week when we introduce a new letter, we add something to our shelf that starts with that letter. Tomorrow we get to add this transforming doll! We are learning about the letter C, so I couldn't just make a plain old cactus! When you pull her skirt up around her, she looks like a potted cactus but, when the skirt is down, she becomes an adorable doll!

I have to admit, I was starting to get a little bored with this project (yep, short attention span) and, with going back to work after winter break, I was starting to fall behind. Thankfully we spotted a rainbow yesterday and the thought of adding a rainbow row inspired me to catch up with the missed rows this weekend. (The blanket is folded into 3rds so you can see the whole 6 foot width at once!)

After 5 days, my "sky blanket" is finally starting to take shape. So glad I chose a chevron pattern rather than just a straight stripe!

I saw the idea for a "sky blanket" a few months ago and have been waiting for today to start it. Each day you choose a color of yarn to match the sky and crochet one row of the blanket with it. I'm kind of excited to have an overcast day to start on! Now if only I can stick with it all year!

Whew! Just spent about 5 hours making stuff for the first week back to school. Got it all printed and now I just need to laminate it. Then I can tweak it a bit for TpT and I'll have about 5 new things to share with you all, including some freebies!! Stay tuned!

So, I took the plunge and started the process of changing my blog name from Random Craftiness to Kindergarten Craftiness. I like the name a lot more but the downside is that I basically had to create a whole new FB page.
