Five years ago, we took a leap and moved our family to Charleston.

Looking back, it was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. Zero regrets.

This week alone, the boys spent their days at what they lovingly call “shark tooth hunting camp” Coastal Expeditions Charleston — exploring remote islands, searching for fossils, kayaking alongside dolphins (a core memory for Weston), and even getting an up-close visit from Birds of Prey .

Then we wrapped up the week the Charleston way—with a stop at Pitt Street Pharmacy, Pitt Street Pharmacy where the kid-size ice cream cones are still the right price.

It’s the simple moments that remind me we made the right choice. We’re so grateful these boys get to grow up with adventures like this, surrounded by nature, curiosity, and a community that still feels a little like the good old days.

A week for the books. 🤍

The annual Hartmann 4th of July Extravaganza never disappoints, but celebrating America’s 250th anniversary made this year’s celebration feel even more memorable. 🇺🇸

Watching Bri and The Drift CHS kick off the evening, spending time with friends, and ending the night with the most incredible fireworks show made for one unforgettable Fourth.

Grateful for traditions like these and the community that makes them so special. ❤️🤍💙

Bri, you are the strength of our family in so many ways.

You never shy away from the fray—you jump right into the middle seat, jiu jitsu matches, soccer practices, bedtime routines, and all the beautiful chaos that comes with raising boys. Watching you raise Weston and Emmett into the talented, kind, and respectful young men they are becoming is such a blessing.

Thank you for choosing us, for showing up every day, and for leading our family with strength, patience, and love.

How is it possible that the boys in the first photo are the same boys in the last? 🥹

Officially on summer break and somehow I now have a first grader and a fourth grader.

This year brought so much growth, independence, new friendships, and memories we’ll never forget. The days can feel long, but the years really do fly.

The summer adventures have begun!☀️

Our boys are soccer obsessed, so with this being the first World Cup they’ll really remember, we couldn’t pass these up. ⚽️🌎

A friend introduced us to the World Cup sticker books, and they’ve been such a fun way to learn about the countries, teams, and players competing. The boys are completely into it and love opening new packs to see who they get.

We found our books and sticker packs at but they’re available too. You can also find stickers on select Coca Cola bottles. If you have soccer-loving kids, these are definitely worth grabbing.
