An open letter to my first grader βοΈππ
My sweet Sofija,
Tomorrow, you walk into first grade, and somehow I am expected to act normal about that. π₯Ή
Tonight, while you sleep, Iβll be filling the house with balloons, hanging your backdrop, and making everything feel a little extra magical. Not because you need decorations to know how loved you are, but because I never want you to forget that every new chapter of your life deserves to be celebrated.
I want you to walk into that school tomorrow feeling confident, excited, and completely sure of who you are.
You are smart.
You are brave.
You are kind.
You are funny.
You are thoughtful.
You are capable of doing hard things.
And you are so deeply loved.
You do not have to be perfect. You do not have to know every answer. You just have to keep trying, keep asking questions, and keep being the beautiful little light that you are.
Be the friend who includes others. Sit beside the person who looks lonely. Speak up when something does not feel right. Never make yourself smaller to make anyone else more comfortable. Your big feelings, your big personality, your curiosity, and your tender heart are all part of your magic. β¨
First grade will teach you so many things, but I already know that you will teach the people around you a few things too.
No matter how big you get or how many first days come and go, I will always be right here, cheering louder than anyone, decorating every milestone, and reminding you exactly who you are.
Go show first grade what youβre made of, my girl.
The world is so lucky to know you, and I am the luckiest because I get to be your mom. π
Love you bigger than every balloon in the world,
Mommy πβοΈβ¨
And thank you, Dreams Come True Parties LLC, for helping me make another milestone feel as magical as she deserves. ππ
