✨Whatnot series update! ✨ (TL;DR - I like the IDEA of selling on Whatnot, but the startup is just not worth it for me!)

A few months ago, I finally had the time and motivation to try live selling on Whatnot regularly to see what happened. I started knowing full well that it may end up exactly like it has! While I enjoyed it over all and I still love the platform, I found that with everything else on my plate, I DO NOT have the time to build my account on there enough to make it worth my time. For me, I feel a big part of this is that I’ve already built successful accounts on Poshmark, eBay, Depop, etc. and I should keep putting my time into those since they’re the ones that have been making me money. On those platforms, I feel that what I get out of them is super proportional to what I put in. Whatnot feels way more up and down and unpredictable to me. I do still fully believe that one can be super successful on WN, but the fact is that the STARTUP (showing up at least once weekly, building a following, supporting others sellers’ shows, testing different techniques in your shows to find what works and doesn’t work for you, etc. etc.) takes a lottttt of energy and time that’s just not worth my personal while. I’ll still be selling on there suuuper occasionally (mostly when I’m able to do $1 bids), but for now I’m sticking to buying on there!
