The creators of two of the most famous manga and anime series of all time are actually married! Yoshihiro Togashi, the author of Hunter x Hunter, and Naoko Takeuchi, the creator of Sailor Moon, tied the knot in 1999.
This makes them one of the most powerful (and private) couples in the manga industry. They even have a shared studio where they work side-by-side — Togashi on his complex, dark fantasy worlds and Takeuchi on her magical girl romance.

In Japan, there is a real-life "Spirited Away" bathhouse — but not the one you're thinking of. The most famous inspiration for Spirited Away's Aburaya is Dōgo Onsen in Ehime Prefecture. However, the fun fact is that Dōgo Onsen has a secret room called "Yushinden" that was built exclusively for the Japanese imperial family. Ordinary guests cannot enter it. But here's the anime twist: In 2014, Studio Ghibli designed official decorative sliding doors (fusuma) for that very imperial room, featuring painted scenes from Spirited Away. So the real bathhouse that inspired the movie now contains original Ghibli art that you (as a regular tourist) still can't see — it's only for royalty! The ultimate anime VIP section.
