What a blast this sewing course has been 🎉 We spent three weeks learning about our machines, the tools and verbiage used, how to read a commercial pattern, how to sew seams, bias strips and hems, and the general construction of a garment.

I always come away from teaching this course feeling so fulfilled. I love that moment when things just click for a student and it starts getting easier and feels a bit more natural. These girls did an amazing job on their tops, and, as always, I love seeing the joy when they put on their pieces they just created. ✨

I had a conversation with someone much older than myself today that pointed out a few things that could be better about my body. In this conversation I learned a lot about why we talk down to other women and tell them their appearance isn’t “up to par”. We project to others what has been said to us (through the media and people in our personal lives). If we feel like we aren’t skinny enough, don’t have big enough b***s, have too large an ass, etc. we see those “flaws” in others.

Do I have things I wish I could change, absolutely. But am I proud of my figure and love the body I’ve been given? ABSOLUTELY! I choose to love my body (I only get one) and celebrate every body out there.

I could so easily look at myself and nitpick what I wish was different, but I am who I am and I’ve worked hard to learn to love this version of myself. I will not let anyone diminish my worth because there are things that aren’t up to their standards.

No matter your size, shape, height, color I celebrate you and want you to know you are beautiful JUST AS YOU ARE! Now, go light up the world and let your beauty shine 🌟

Introducing: handmade face masks 🤍

We've partnered with to bring a collection of face masks to life. Constructed of our all-natural fabrics (we’re utilizing our fabric scraps), our face masks come in five color ways and provide an additional layer of protection for you + your loved ones.

These masks are exclusively available on our website and www.covetatelier.com.

For the month of June, Covet is donating 5% of all sales to the Southern Poverty Law Center, an organization “dedicated to fighting hate/bigotry and to seeking justice for the most vulnerable members of our society” + 5% of all sales to The Loveland Foundation, a nonprofit that helps Black women get access to mental health resources. We are tagging along in this initiative and donating the same percentage of profits from mask sales to these organizations.

Stay protected during these uncertain times and help us use our fabric scraps for good.
