Lindsey Kiser is a bird hunter who happens to make art, not the other way around. Every scene she draws comes from her own mornings in the field and on the water.

Her medium is scratchboard. She lays ink over white clay, then cuts it away under a magnifying lens with scalpels and needles, one line at a time, until the bird comes up out of the dark. Nothing painted on. Nothing erased.

We’re proud to make it official: Lindsey is now TSG’s Artist in Residence. Her original works are available exclusively at our Selwyn Ave shop in Charlotte. For everyone else, her art lives on the Upland Society glassware, ready for the next pour.
