Just me and my rooster living the dream. Did you say, “what’s his name?” Oh yeah, he’s French, his name is Marcellus Denellanellus, and he loves to crow at the crack of dawn, at the crack of noon, at the crack of 2pm, at the crack of 4pm, 8pm, 9pm, and 10pm. And at crack in general. Marcellus is a good guard rooster.

I’ve been making throw pillows. I have an order for two Thibaut linen throw pillows, and I have to make sure I know precisely how to construct them before I start cutting into irreplaceable upscale designer cotton linen. One tiny mistake could potentially ruin hundreds of dollars worth of fabric. So I’ve been practicing with less valuable materials. I believe I’m ready to safely cut and sew the actual items now.

Wouldn’t it be nice if life gave us practice sessions before important situations? If we could try different scenarios to see how it would work out in the end? Can you even imagine a life without any risks? Without any undesirable consequences to deal with? You can just go back and redo it until the outcome suits your liking? Would life still be as precious? Or would we just be practicing with less valuable material?

Life is precious because we only get one. If you have someone in your life who makes life worth doing, why not remind them today? Or, just do a kindness and don’t be found out.
