Camping with a baby or toddler? Bring the potty! The great outdoors is a great place for diaper-free time, and using the potty can help stretch your diaper stash. You might be amazed at how well your baby does with EC in the great outdoors!!

I also recommend bringing cloth diapers if your trip is short or you’ll have access to laundry.

Did you hike, camp, or travel while doing EC or cloth diapering? I’d love to hear your stories šŸ‘‡ā¤ļø

She’s not screaming for no reason. She’s crying for help because she needs to go potty! Needing to poo or p*e is uncomfortable, and she can’t get into a deep squat to relieve herself without your help.

If you start holding your baby over a potty or toilet to p**p, you might find that his ā€œcolicā€ disappears overnight 🤯 It did for my oldest!

If you’re wondering how to tell your baby needs to p**p, what type of potty you need, or any other question about baby pottying (usually called Elimination Communication), I can help! I did this method with all 3 of my babies and now I teach the method to other parents. Comment SHOW ME and I’ll DM you my free guide to get started 🫶

All right how did they react?? šŸ˜‚ IF you’ve told them…

I will say my pediatrician AND daycare provider were fully on board with early potty training but I mightttt have left out the part about my newborns using the toilet šŸ˜…šŸ¤«šŸ«£

Nope, we aren’t waiting for ā€œreadinessā€ because readiness is a myth invented by Pampers to sell more diapers.

Babies are born ready to go potty! All 3 of my babies started using one as newborns, were dry during naps almost immediately, were completely ā€œp**p trainedā€ by 2-3 months, and fully diaper free by 18 months.

Don’t believe me? Comment SHOW ME and I’ll DM you my free guide, which explains exactly how I potty trained all 3 babies so that you can too!

ā€œReadinessā€ is a myth concocted by the disposable diaper industry to sell. more. diapers.

When disposable diapers first came along in the mid 1900s, most moms refused to buy them—who wants plastic on their baby’s bottom instead of cotton?

Then Pampers launched a massive campaign. They hired a renowned pediatrician and sponsored biased studies to promote a ā€œreadinessā€ approach to potty training and claim it was superior.

The result? A massive boom in sales and now we’ve got 3, 4, and even 5 year olds still wearing diapers.

Pottying babies used to be the norm, but disposable diapers have become so socially ingrained that it’s practically a lost art.

The good news? Unbiased studies show that there are major benefits to pottying your baby, and it’s actually easier than you may have imagined! Did you know that babies signal before they p**p? It might be a ā€œp**p faceā€, grunting, squirming, or a special cry. The more you pay attention, the better you’ll pick up on them and can start to catch p**ps in the potty instead of a diaperšŸ™Œ

The fancy term for this is Elimination Communication or baby potty training, and it’s a surprisingly laid back method. I pottied 3 of my babies from birth onwards and barely had any p**py diapers at all!

If this intrigues you, comment READ IT and I’ll DM you a link to my free guide, which has my best tips for getting started with a baby of any age 🫶

Setting goals or placing too many expectations on your baby is a recipe for burnout with EC! The more pressure you place on yourself or your baby, the more your baby picks up on it and will resist potty time.

My advice? Let go of those goals and just enjoy the catches and don’t count the misses! Easier said than done, I know, especially when it feels like EC has stopped working.

The good news is that there are proven strategies for staying relaxed with EC while ALSO staying on track. My book has age-based chapters on potty pause causes and solutions, plus my proven method for wrapping up EC for good when you feel ready.

So many people message me after they find my account—do you have to start EC with a newborn? Is it too late for my 10 month old?

To which I always reply: It is never too late to start the potty! The only thing that changes is your approach. If you comment your baby’s age, I’ll send you a DM with links to a couple of my best resources, each of which includes age-based strategies for starting the potty with a baby or toddler of any age šŸ™Œ

Why don’t more parents know this? Blowouts are not normal. Babies don’t want to be covered in p**p šŸ’©. Parents don’t want to clean it up. So why do we just carry on as if this is OK?

Baby p**ps aren’t random—they can be easily predicted if you start paying attention to baby’s p**p timing and cues. In fact, most parents who do Elimination Communication (baby potty training), have a ā€œp**p-trainedā€ baby by about 2-3 months old 🤯
