Chattooine (est. Oct 2004) is Chattanooga's biggest and best multi-fandom costuming and fan group! See below for our fanforce statement.

Chattooine started out as a Star Wars Fanforce and has developed into an all Fandom group for everyone to hang out and experience good times with friends and like fanpeeps. Star Wars FanForce is a feature of TheForce.net, one of the oldest and most visited fan-run Star Wars news websites, and is dedicated to helping Star Wars fans to meet and interact with other fans in their local community. Each FanForce is led by one or more Chapter Representatives who are responsible for the organization of group events. The Chattooine Outer Rim Lookouts is the officially recognized FanForce chapter for Chattanooga, Tennessee. Chattooine is a non-profit club comprised of individuals who enjoy the Star Wars films, other aspects of the Star Wars franchise, and other aspects of science fiction. It was created in order to give fans in the Chattanooga area a chance to socialize and engage in activities relating to the varied aspects of the Star Wars franchise. We strive to keep Star Wars and Science Fiction alive in the eyes of the Chattanooga community and surrounding areas, and endeavor to give back to the community through charitable events. As the Chattooine family grew, so did its interests and influence. Chattooine has embraced all kinds of costuming and charity functions. From Harry Potter to Pirates, Muppets to Masquerade Balls, convention organizers, Halloween enthusiasts, and even anime, Chattooine is THE place to go to get your geeky fix.

Here at Chattooine we like to say that we are one big Cosfamily and that is absolutely true. We do all sorts of great deeds throughout the year with the various charities we help support, families we bring joy to etc. That said, we also like to celebrate and come together in support of our members outside the group. That can range from congratulating them on a new job, seeing them do a performance of some sort(music, acting , comedy act ,) etc. This past weekend we got to support and celebrate the union of love between two of our absolutely Fantastic members Katelyn LaRose Dowlen and Elisha LaRose Dowlen They joined our group in 2023 and have been with us for many marvelous adventures since. Whether in costume or cosplay support (taking pictures, making sure we hydrate, etc) We absolutely appreciate having them with us. So we ask if everyone will put their hands together and wish this absolutely fantastic couple of folks a big congratulations. Thank you both and your families for having us. We wish you both a lifetime of love, success, and happiness in all that you do as you begin this next chapter of your life. 🎁🎉🎈🎊🎂
