👰♀️ Celena, what was most important to you when planning the big day?
Originally, I cared about every little detail, but everything changed when my husband was involved in a motorcycle accident just two months before our wedding. Our priorities shifted very quickly from perfection to simply making sure everything was accessible, meaningful, and filled with love. More than anything, we just wanted everyone to have the best time and celebrate together.
🩷 What was your favorite and least favorite part about the wedding planning process?
Our least favorite part was definitely having to switch wedding venues about four months before the wedding due to hurricane damage in Jamaica. It was stressful at the time, but looking back, everything worked out exactly the way it was supposed to.
🌴 Our favorite part was seeing everything finally come together after such an emotional few months. So many people came together to support us, and it made the entire experience even more meaningful.
📝 Any advice for other brides planning their big day?
Don’t stress the small details. At the end of the day, no one remembers the napkins or tablecloths, they remember the love, the energy, and how the day felt. The day truly flies by, so soak in every moment.
💒 What was your favorite part of your wedding day?
My favorite part was walking down the aisle and seeing Kade cry for the first time. Since he was non weight bearing and unable to stand during the ceremony, I chose to sit beside him while we read our vows together. That moment made our entire ceremony feel so personal and emotional, and it’s something I’ll never forget.
Celena and Kade, you are an inspiration to all of us! Thank you for being a Monica's Bride 💕
