Love this guy! If you get a chance watch the documentary, “Game Changers,” very interesting!
🌱31 years without meat and I still get told (on the daily) that my plant based lifestyle is unsustainable, unnatural, incomplete, deficient, lacking, etc.
I’ve heard it my entire life, and my entire life I knew that they were wrong. Did I have access to some top secret scientific literature that proves otherwise? Was I working with a dietitian since I left the womb? Do I have some kind of genetic mutation that allows me to assimilate these “inferior” sources of plant protein better than other humans? The answer is no.
All I had was my experience.
All I had was my truth.
All I had was the understanding that It’s all I’ve ever known, and I’m still out here thriving every day. I’ve come to accept that my mere existence is triggering to many of these “experts”.
I avoided talking about my dietary choices and reasoning behind them until the age of 25. I didn’t want to have to defend my beliefs and my experience. Maybe they were right? Maybe they knew something I didn’t. That all changed after I did my first bodybuilding show and walked away with the overall trophy. Afterwards, I realized that it was ME who knew something that THEY didn’t. I felt the obligation to start sharing my story so that I could offer a different perspective and empower others to explore an alternative approach to nutrition, training, and lifestyle choices.
I never planned on being an ambassador for this way of life, but this way of life actually had a plan for me all along. After I listened, after I stopped resisting, after I surrendered to my intuition.. THATS when the shift occurred. THATS when everything in my life changed and put me on the path I’m on.
