A year ago I sat in this same room and sang “Unwritten” with dreaming about the next chapter I wanted to write for myself. The page was blank; I had ideas, but no plan. All I knew was that I needed more creativity, community and crafts.
Last night, almost exactly a year later, we sang “The Climb” in the same room. I was reflecting on how it took a year for me to write that blank page and put a plan in action and I’m so proud of how far I’ve come! So much of this last year, felt like this part of the song “I can almost see it, that dream I’m dreaming… but there’s a voice inside my head saying, you’ll never reach it.” I kept second guessing myself and asking “should I really do this, or should I play it safe?” Obviously, I went for it ☀️.
Last night was a reminder that there will always be more mountains to climb, yes, but it’s so important to pause and celebrate where you’ve come from. I’m up on the first peak, and have taken the steps that were completely unwritten last year.
Everyone keeps asking me how I’m feeling about jumping into Crafted By Kadi full time and my answer is always “excited, and scared and excited!” Building a business isn’t going to be easy, I have to keep putting one foot in front of the next, and remember to stop to celebrate how far I’ve come!
