The former UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya says Francis N'Gannou "will make history" when he fights Tyson Fury in Saudi Arabia on October 28th.
Francis Ngannou, a former UFC heavyweight champion, and Adesanya are two of the most successful African-born fighters in UFC history.Tyson Fury is is the top possible pick to win the fight, with Ngannou stepping outside the world of MMA to take on boxing's heavyweight champion at his own sport is more than an act of bravery.
While Israel speaking in the build-up to UFC 293, Adesanya said: "I'm going to be there to witness history.
"I'm proud of him, he's leading the charge and I can't wait to see him make history.
"He's a long shot as people say, but this man fears nothing.
"If you listen to his story about what he's been through he's fortified, he's locked in, you cannot shake him, you cannot break him.
"I'm proud of him, shoutout out to my big brother Francis, and I can't wait for him to make history again."
It's rather unfortunate that Israel Adesanya lost his championship status to Sean Strickland a few hours ago.
