February 21, 1965.
Malcolm X was assassinated at just 39 years old, but his story didn’t stop with the headlines.
In this episode of BLACK HISTORY: THEN & NOW, we look at:
Malcolm’s early message
His post-Mecca evolution
Why his full journey still matters today
Because honoring Malcolm means understanding his growth, not just quoting his words.

Black history didn’t end. It’s due.

Voting isn’t just about showing up…it’s about preparation.

In this video, I walk through:
• Checking voter registration
• Finding district numbers
• Viewing official candidate listings

Don’t guess. Don’t assume. Research your ballot before you step into the booth.

Voting is power.
Informed voting is responsibility.

Most of you know me as Queen So’Black.

But there’s another side of me that’s navigating real-life health changes — Type 2 diabetes, menopause, and everything in between.

I created a separate YouTube space called No Sugarcoating with Ms Trigga.

That’s where I’m documenting that journey honestly.

You’ll see it here on the screen.

No performance. Just real life.

This wasn’t satire.
This wasn’t harmless.
This was racism, rooted in history and minimized in real time.

When racism is dressed up as a joke, the punchline is always us

Many people know MLK Jr.
But far fewer know the story of his mother, Alberta Williams King.

She was a devoted church organist, choir leader, and a pillar of Ebenezer Baptist Church. In 1974, she was killed during Sunday service inside the church she faithfully served.

This video honors Alberta Williams King’s life, her legacy, and the documented truth of how her life was taken…a part of Black history that is too often overlooked.

Black History Month is not only about movements.
It’s about the women whose lives shaped leaders long before the world knew their names.

Black History Month began as Negro History Week in 1926, created by historian Carter G. Woodson to correct the erasure of Black history from American education.

This Day 1 video introduces a new series, BLACK HISTORY: THEN & NOW, exploring not only where we come from but how Black history shows up today and what responsibility we carry forward.

Black history is more than remembrance.
It’s legacy in motion.
