A little BTS of a guest suite we designed for a Lake Geneva estate. The goal was a space that felt just as charming in January as it does in July. The botanical wallpaper and floral drapery bring the outside in for those gorgeous summer months, and the classically designed marble fireplace does the heavy lifting in winter — especially paired with the custom window bench and a good book while snow falls outside.

Reminiscing on this butler’s pantry concept we dreamt up — and still absolutely love! We added a wall of interior windows to pull natural light in from the foyer and open up what could have been a dark, enclosed space. To stay true to the timeless New England style of the home, we designed a classic black and white mosaic tile floor to contrast to the soft blue cabinetry. The beadboard walls bring Hamptons-esque charm while also serving as a beautiful backdrop for the open shelving with brass gallery rail. The art of melding functionality and beauty never gets old. 🩵

Living in the northern hemisphere, we take in all the sunlight we can. This sunroom allows for a sense of indoor outdoor living that is not limited to the summer months. The sunroom was designed to chase the light. Wicker pendants that echo the organic world outside, a palette as quiet and clean as fresh snow, and just enough color to remind you that life is meant to be fun. Every element was chosen to make you want to sit down and stay a while, whether it’s July or January.
