Second Act is an ABC accredited cancer recovery boutique carrying post-breast surgery garments, prostheses, wigs and accessories. Some of the many products in stock and ready for clients to take home include garments worn immediately following surgery, prostheses for women who have had mastectomies, lumpectomies or reconstruction, pocketed mastectomy bras to hold the prosthesis securely in place,
camisoles, tank tops, t-shirts, swim suits, wigs, hats and scarves. Most post-surgery items are covered by Medicare and/or private insurance for women recently diagnosed and long-term survivors. Second Act is recognized by Medicare as an approved, DME provider and is also under contract as an in-network provider with Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO and HMO, and Aetna PPO programs. A physician’s prescription is required. The owner, Pattie Cagney Sheehan, is a BOC Certified Mastectomy Fitter and a member of the American Association of Breast Care Professionals.
