EDIT: I added the after shot of our brand new boiler!

As my Lead Presser Camille so eloquently phrased it, "Saying goodbye to our crusty old friend" today. This is a 1993 (the year I graduated high school...MANY moons ago) 15 hp Parker Boiler. The heart of the dry cleaning/pressing operation. Not much in our plant operates without it. Today, it is getting demo'd (Gilbert Flores), making room for a shiny new Parker!! Increasing safety and energy efficiency for the plant is a wonderful thing with a pretty penny attached...

Middle-aged, fabulous & broke?

Dear Customers
With this extreme heat we are not going to fire up our boiler this Friday, August 7th. Our front doors will be open for pick-up and drop-off, but there will be no cleaning and pressing. That being said, if you need something before the weekend bring it to us ASAP. Last call for drop-off is Wednesday, August 5th and will be ready for pick-up as early as Thursday evening! Thank you for understanding and apologies for and inconveniences...but we need to make sure our staff stays safe during the forecasted hottest day this work week!
~Alison

Dear Friends:
Flair Custom Cleaners is a member of the CA Cleaners Association and the Dry Cleaning and Laundering Institute International. They (and we) are asking for a little help from dry cleaning/laundering customers:

Sue Kratz, Executive Director of the Heartland Fabricare Association, is asking for some help from our members. Please see her message below.

For our upcoming NexGen Expo, we are putting together a presentation about how different generations view drycleaning. We are asking that all Association Executives to please share the following link with their members and request that their members share it with their friends, family, and customers. We are looking for results from NON-DRYCLEANERS, so we can actually see how the general public perceives the industry. This will directly impact how dry cleaners need to market their business to different generations.
