Soy wax has several benefits compared to your traditional paraffin wax candles. Soy wax is all natural since it is produced from soybeans, as opposed to the petroleum oil of paraffin wax candles. Because of the formulation and ingredient in the wax, soy candles are cleaner burning and better for people with respiratory issues. Candle soot is often more of a nuisance than you may think. If you burn a lot of candles, over time it may discolor your walls, furniture and edges of your carpet, but it can also be found lining your nasal passages. Black soot in soy candles is often caused from the lighter or match when lighting the candle, rather than the actual burning of the candle itself. In addition to being cleaner burning, soy candles are non-toxic. Since the only ingredient in our wax is 100% soybean oil, produced from US grown soy beans, they are a low soot producing candle and release no known carcinogens.
