Small business shout-out! Came in this morning and I could tell the AC was not working. I checked the thermostat batteries first and then called my wonderful landlord. He called Furhmann Heating and Cooling who sent a technician within the hour and we are back up and running. Thank you!

Throwback Thursday. Holiday weekends used to look alot different. I owned a doggie daycare for almost 30 years so this would be the view from my patio doors. Then I was part of a business who went to the fair and had a blast supporting the 4H food auction on Friday night. THIS year, a good friend is coming from IL with her dog to visit for the weekend. There will be a live show Saturday morning at 8am and regular hours from 9 to 3pm. The store is closed Sunday and Monday so we can hang out. If you go to the fair and are the lucky winner of the grasshopper pie, you could still bring me a piece ;) Have a great weekend! Open today 10am to 4pm and Friday 10am to 5pm.

You might notice my wavy "Thrift Store" sign is gone from by the road. Its been there all summer but last week it was bothering someone so much that they took the time out of their day to complain anonymously to the city. I'm always trying to promote small businesses and would have happily had a conversation about how to make their life tolerable WITH the sign staying in place.
