Did you know 1 in 10 people in America struggle with food insecurity???

Take a few minutes or dollars this Thanksgiving and Black Friday Season to buy a little extra and donate it to a locale homeless shelter or food pantry in your area. But it doesn’t have to be just this time of year. This is something our family does every few months to really be a part of our community and make sure we are sharing our abundance that god has blessed with others.

So as we all are getting ready to sit down with our families for a big belly filling dinner we must remember those who aren’t as fortunate and give back. 💕

👏Not sure where to start???

-call your local homeless shelter and ask them what they need
-clear out you closet and donate to a local community organization
-collect pop top can goods for a local food pantry
-spend time serving at a community table near you
-get involved in a local service community such as Rotary

📸Behind the scenes! 📸

As a small business, it’s just me running the show here. And sometimes that means sitting on the floor with your baby while you try to get work done and scarf down your lunch.

It’s not always Instagram ready but it’s so beautiful in its own way. This doesn’t mean that it’s not messy and hard and exhausting sometimes.

🇺🇸That’s right. We only source brands made in the USA. As someone who grew up in a small town, I have seen the impact on a town when a factory closes up shop permanently forcing many to either relocate or find a new career and ultimately causing the local economy to suffer. I love clothes but supporting businesses right here in the USA means the most. So I take the time to look for brands only made here in the USA. Hope you love them as much as I do.

Seriously though! The more you mix up the stuff you have the less you feel the need to constantly buy more. Try that new trend, try black and brown together, mix patterns. Like they say, you won’t know unless you try it.

I like to experiment with stuff in my own closet and it makes me feel refreshed without buying all new clothes. I definitely gravitate to stuff that is more comfortable but that doesn’t mean I can’t try new pairings of tops and bottoms.

🎀Tuck, knot, leave it? Anyone else have this debate with loose tops???

My thought process on this is always what makes you comfortable. For me, it all depends on the rest of the outfit. If I’m wearing a pair of leggings I’m probably going with loose to cover my bum. If it’s a pair of jeans or a high waist skirt, I will tuck or knot to give me a more defined waist and make me feel more pulled together.

I’m also a notorious shirt tucker though! I just love the way a shirt looks with a cute knot or tuck!

💕Seriously there aren’t rules! Style is about YOU, what makes you happy and brings you joy when you put it on. Wear white after Labor Day, mix patterns, do what you want that feels right and comfortable to you.

💕And it also might change in your different seasons of life. What feels good to me when I was 22… ahem showing my mid drift…. Doesn’t feel the same now that I’m 32 and chasing a kiddo.
