The Standard Textile team had the privilege of celebrating a remarkable man and an incredible milestone: Paul Heiman’s 100th birthday. 🎉
Paul’s story is one of perseverance, family and accomplishment. As a young boy, he and his family fled N**i Germany after his father, Charles, escaped from a concentration camp. The family eventually made their way to Cincinnati to begin a new life. Unable to find work, Charles started a small business from the family’s third-floor apartment, the humble beginning of what would become Standard Textile.
Paul went on to help shape Standard Textile into the company it is today, leading its growth and establishing its leadership in healthcare textiles.
He has also had the rare opportunity to see that family legacy continue, first through his son, Gary Heiman, our Chairman and CEO, and now through his grandson, Alex Heiman, our President and a fourth-generation family leader.
We’re grateful to Paul and the Heiman family for inviting us to share in this special celebration.
